Committees

Education Committee

Encourage all members to grow in faith, knowledge of God, and
service to others

Outreach Committee

Support spiritual care of congregation, coordinate reception
of new members, develop communication, and strengthen
fellowship

Property and Maintenance Committee

Protect and maintain the physical assets of the congregation 

Stewardship Committee
Facilitate development of spiritual gift inventories, explore ways to increase sharing of gifts, coordinate “Share & Care” Groups, and encourage members in tithing

Worship and Music Committee

Promote meaningful and inspirational worship experience, encouraging involvement from the congregation and assisting the Pastor whenever needed

Programs of Outreach

Altar Guild

Oversee the care of furnishings, banners, altar cloths as well as communion set-up and the administration of sacraments

Health Cabinet

Address the health needs of church members and their families through workshops, educational brochures, programs, articles and much more

Men’s Fellowship

This group, open to all men of the congregation, meets every first Thursday at 8am in the Shoreline Restaurant. They support several local projects, serve an annual breakfast, collect aluminum cans, and run a Brat and Kraut stand at area functions

RIFL

RIFL (Reinvest in First Lutheran) funds  some of the needs of the church not covered in teh budget

Share and Care 

Involves all congregational members in the worship services through serving as ushers, lectors greeters, communion assistants, and coffee servers

Stephen Ministry

Via training and organization, this ministry prepares lay persons for caring for those in difficult times in and around our congregation

We Care

Support and maintain contact with members who find it difficult or even impossible to attend church functions

WELCA 

WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran  Church of America) welcomes all women of the congregation. Organized into circles for monthly bible studies, WELCA also host a yearly fall festival, salad luncheon, and supports several area organizations
